The study of metabolism is very complicated, especially how foods affect it. This cookbook and recipes play on scientific studies which combine low calorie and thermic quality of foodstuffs. In this review, I will give the best and worst meals for fat loss and enjoyment, with my ultimate favourite at the end.

Firstly, the priority of metabolic cooking is to lose fat by eating certain healthy foods. In our opinion, after specifically measuring calorie content on this recipe and factoring in thermal effects (energy burned during digestion) we were astoundingly impressed. The salmon fillet with an assorted salad is filling and very light in fat and calories. Oily fish, containing magical omega 3 fatty acids, make a great center piece for a dish, and is paired even better with a salsa verde. On the other hand, the honey glazed lamb kebab may feel great in the mouth, but the sweet glaze is high calorie compared to the rest of the cookbook. We recommend engorging not solely on this dish.

If you are hedonist, who happens to also want to get in shape, then this next recipes are for you. A favourite not just in the fitness world in venison steak, tasty yet still reasonably low in fat. Complemented with vitamin-rich pineapple, the summer dish is an all-please, melt in the mouth wonder. While we do not advise eating the same meal every day, the venison steak would not be a bad choice.

Conclusively, our rating of the metabolic cooking is 8.5/10. Comparatively, it is cheaper to other books like 'Lean in 15' but show examples of much the same and higher degree of expert knowldge.
